Behavioral Intervention Tools Chart

Developed By: National Center on Intensive Intervention

The Behavioral Intervention Tools Chart was developed to assist educators and families in becoming informed consumers who can select behavioral interventions that best meet their individual needs. This tools chart presents information about studies that have been conducted about behavioral intervention programs. The first tab, Study Quality, includes ratings from our TRC members on the technical rigor of the study design. The second tab, Study Results, includes information about the findings of the studies. The third tab, Program Information, provides information about the intervention including the target behavior it addresses and implementation requirements. The fourth tab, Additional Research, provides information about other studies and reviews that have been conducted on the intervention. The Center's Technical Review Committee (TRC) on behavioral interventions independently established a set of criteria for evaluating the scientific rigor of studies of behavioral interventions. The TRC rated each submitted tool against these criteria but did not compare it to other tools on the chart. The presence of a particular tool on the chart does not constitute endorsement and should not be viewed as a recommendation from either the TRC or the National Center on Intensive Intervention. Please note that all submissions to the TRC review process were voluntary and a call for tools is conducted on an annual basis.
