Sarah Arden

Sarah Arden is a senior researcher at AIR where she serves as the Deputy Director for the National Center on Intensive Intervention and the knowledge development coordinator for the PROGRESS Center. Dr. Arden was an OSEP Fellowship Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin where she earned her PhD and supported large-scale randomized control trials investigating mechanisms to increase academic outcomes and improve the school experience for students with disabilities. She has presented at national and international conferences and published numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed articles focused on implementation of intensive intervention, development of high-quality IEPs, special education service delivery, RTI/MTSS, systems change and alignment, and improving outcomes for students with disabilities. Prior to earning her Ph.D., Dr. Arden worked at the California Department of Education and taught elementary special education in the Central California area.
