Course Enhancement Module on Evidence-based Reading Instruction K-5

The CEEDAR Center has designed a Course Enhancement Module (CEM) on Evidence-based Reading Instruction K-5 which is designed to support participants in gaining an understanding of assessment tools and intervention practices that can be integrated within a comprehensive, evidence-based reading intervention program. The multi-part module covers universal, supplemental, and intensive supports including supports for students with intensive reading needs. The CEM, particularly as it relates to intensive intervention, includes content adapted from NCII.

This CEM is designed to build the knowledge and capacity of educators in the selected topic. The module can be adapted and is flexible to accommodate faculty and professional development provider needs. The anchor presentation and speaker notes can be used in their entirety to cover multiple course or professional development sessions. Alternatively, specific content, activities, and handouts can be used individually to enhance existing course and/or professional development content. Click here to learn more about how the CEM can be used
