Bill Cheney

Bill Cheney is the Director for Student Support and Prevention Systems in Mount Vernon School District in Washington State. As a district level school administrator, he provides guidance for special education services and development of the district’s MTSS model to address academic, behavioral and social-emotional needs. In this role, Cheney serves on the Superintendents Leadership Team, and collaborates with principals, general and special education teachers, and provides leadership for the district’s behavioral health support system. Cheney has a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Washington, and in School Psychology from Central Washington University. Previously, Cheney has worked as a school psychologist and a children’s mental health specialist providing community based therapy services to children and families in a wrap-around multi-disciplinary support model.
